Personal & Family Protection
With a wide range of cost-effective solutions, we’re able to address your concerns about having money to manage in the event of suffering a critical illness or dying prematurely.
We’re here to help and in the meantime have summarised the areas where most clients seek protection advice:
- Life Assurance
- Critical and Serious Illness Cover
- Mortgage Protection
- Income Protection
- Arranging appropriate cover following a divorce
Life Assurance
Straightforward life assurance policies provide money to ensure loved ones can meet their commitments and carry on with life. The priority is often the repayment of a mortgage and then, quite separate to this, an arrangement to provide sufficient income to meet ongoing fixed and discretionary expenditure.
Cost is always a key consideration for such policies together with the use of appropriate wills and trusts.

Critical Illness
The financial impact that can follow a life changing event such as suffering a critical illness can be protected by policies providing capital and / or income. Covering an ever-increasing range of illnesses, these policies allow us to get on with life secure in the knowledge that at least there’s no money worries as we concentrate on our treatment and convalescence.

Mortgage Protection
Having life assurance and / or critical illness to cover a mortgage provides the foundation for any financial plan. An appropriate protection package is fundamental to the house buying experience, and can be achieved at a relatively modest cost.
Obviously, we never want to claim on these policies, however peace of mind is knowing that protection is in place should the worst happen. As advisers we refer to this as a moment of truth.

Income Protection
Income protection policies are designed to replace money lost as a result of long-term absence from work. The tax-free income provided removes the worry and distress that’s otherwise experienced due to financial pressures. These policies allow us to better cope with potentially life changing events – enabling us to focus on our recovery and / or adapting to our new circumstances.
Naturally we prefer to avoid thinking about ill health, particularly when we’re younger – it’s just never going to happen! But serious accidents and ill health can and do happen to anyone of us and at any time. Having appropriate income protection lies at the very heart of what we do and, with a range of benefits and policy types, cover can be arranged at a relatively modest cost.
